M&P Faces of London Fashion Week

We were invited down to M&P models agency last Friday to get some LFW gossip.

Is this your first fashion week?
Try my eighth! I’ve modeled for three and half years, I was 17 when I started modeling I was at Premiere and then Select, but now love it at M+P.

Do you have a worst or most embarrassing moment on the catwalk?
Not on the catwalk, all been pretty buzzing, I love the catwalk!

Do you prefer catwalks to shoots then?
I’m not sure depends if it’s a generic shoot in a studio or a cool location, I prefer location even if I’m freezing freezing cold!
I even did a shoot for a magazine in Wales, and there were three of us models and we decided to jump off this cliff edge…so I decided to just strip down to my boxers. The photos were made black and white they looked pretty cool. But when I got out the water obviously I was soaking wet, and just had plain white boxers on, so that would be one of the most embarrassing moments for me!

At least you were with two other models in the same situation though?
Yeah but two other models who had kept their clothes on! I don’t know why I was the only one to strip, I just thought live in the moment! As a kid I was always taking my clothes off, it’s a natural thing for me and I just felt in my environment. (laughs)

Harry and Michael

Have you guys done any fashion week before?
We’ve both done London fashion week before yeah.

What are you most looking forward to?
Harry – The fashion week parties, the after parties and I love the adrenaline of walking in the shows too.
Michael – I’ve got a couple of tickets to the Christopher Shannon show so that should be good.

Have either of you had an embarrassing moment on a catwalk?
Michael – Can it be something away from modelling? (laughs) Cause I had this man come up to me in Kings Cross and just hug me once. Then the same man again came up to me when I was in the Lacoste shop in Carnaby street and then he kissed me on the cheek!
Harry – Did he creep up to you and hug you slowly?
Michael – No he was like really frantic.
Harry – So the same man?
Michael – Yeah the same guy, just two months apart. My girlfriend was more freaked out than I was!

Have you got any shows planed this week?
Well I’ve been to a lot of castings this week but we will have to see what happens!

Have you done previous fashion weeks?
Only started modelling in September last year so I just missed the last one but I was in the Acne show room, which was really fun.

Despite this have you had a most embarrassing moment on a catwalk or even on a shoot?
Well, I was doing a hair show that was a catwalk and it went fine, but when I had to get dressed I put the dress on the backwards thinking this massive dip in the dress was supposed to be at the front…and it wasn’t! So I looked pretty stupid, and had my boobs out in front of a lot of people by accident!

Is this your first fashion week?
No second, but I’ve done previous show room work for designers

Any shows booked for this week?
No not yet, all too last minute!

What are you looking forward to most this fashion week?
Well as its only my second I don’t want go out and party too much, I plan to stay focused.

Have you got a worst or most embarrassing moment on the catwalk?
Not really yet, but in a presentation show I had to stand up the whole day and they were serving alcohol and all the models keep wobbling out of place, I was quite drunk!

Have you done fashion week before?
Yeah I have but my last show was two years ago.

What shows do you have planed this week?
I have one show tomorrow (the Saturday) and a show on Monday and…….so many I actually lose track of names!

What are you most looking forward to this fashion week?
Just being on catwalk, I’m a little bit nervous but I’ve been practising loads whenever I can, in the agency and at home, it’s been a while!

Do you have a most embarrassing moment when you’ve been on the catwalk? Or even on a shoot?
One catwalk show I was so so nervous that my head kept swinging from side to side. I don’t know why it was happening but it looked awful, I mean my heels were very high but I don’t dare watch the show on youtube!

What are you most looking forward to this fashion week?
The parties but I do want to get some shows in.

Have you got any shows lined up yet?
Not yet, just castings got to go to. I’ve got at least 6 today!

Have you had a worst or most embarrassing moment on the catwalk?
Not really but I’ve been to a few crazy castings when you’ve had to scream and shout and act like an idiot. I once got to told to act your opposite…..but actually that’s not really embarrassing its more fun.

Have you got many shows lined up for this week?
Today I have at least one show, I have options but it might be a day or even one hour before the show that you find out.

Who is your favourite designer at LFW?
I love Acne and Burberry

What are you most looking forward to this coming week?
The shows and the parties!

Have you got a party to go to tonight?
I have to find out my call time for tomorrow but hopefully it’s late enough to go out tonight.

Have you done previous fashion weeks?
Not yet this is my first and I’m excited.

Andy

Is this your first fashion week?
It is actually my fourth fashion week. The best one I did was two seasons ago in Paris.

Have you got any shows lined up yet for this week?
Not sure, I’ll get confirmed in the next couple of days hopefully, you get treated like a piece of meat during fashion week! (laughs)

What are you most looking forward to?
Just chilling with my mates and seeing London, because I don’t live here I’m from Bristol.

Do you have a worst/ most embarrassing moment on the catwalk?
Not on a catwalk but on the underground I always walk into a lot of poles and my head once got trapped in the tube door (laughs)

Have you done any fashion weeks before?
I did the last fashion week so this is my second

What are you most looking forward to this fashion week?
Well I’m not sure, I’m looking forward to dressing two shows because I also work for a stylist.

Who is your favourite designer at this seasons LFW?
Moschino is showing in London this year, very excited to go to that on Saturday.

Do you have a worst or most embarrassing moment on the catwalk?
My foot started bleeding when I was walking once, the shoes were just too small. This also happened on a shoot once, I think I must just have stupid feet.
